International Conference “What Does the Future Hold for International Scientific Cooperation for Food Safety?”, 26 April 2017, Tokyo, Japan

On 26th April 2017, Food Safety Commission of Japan (FSCJ) and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) were co-organised the International Conference called “What Does the Future Hold for International Scientific Cooperation for Food Safety?” in Tokyo, Japan. The food safety risk assessment organisations of European Union, South East Asia and Japan participated in this conference. ASEAN Risk Assessment Centre for Food Safety (ARAC) was invited as speaker of the panel discussion as well as providing a brief introductory presentation on ARAC.

The aim of this conference was to discuss and identify the key priorities and areas in terms of harmonisation, international cooperation and innovation in between the European Union, South East Asia and Japan in order to enhance risk assessment activities by the food safety risk assessment organisations.
